It’s been a busy Spring with new employees joining Cover & Rossiter and team members celebrating milestone achievements!
Let’s welcome our newest team members to the Client Accounting & Advisory Services department:
We welcomed Bethany Phongsavat to Cover & Rossiter in March 2024 as a Senior Accountant in Client Accounting & Advisory Services. Having been a business owner herself, and also working in a family business, Bethany knows what it takes to streamline processes and manage day-to-day financial operations. Let’s get to know Bethany:
Prior Experience: I was owner of B & P Tax Service, LLC
Education: I received my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from State University of New York (SUNY), Brockport. I earned my MBA in Accounting from University of Phoenix.
Certifications: I’ve been an IRS Enrolled Agent since 2017.
Life outside of work: I enjoy gardening, reading and family activities.

In April 2024, we welcomed Dawn Ackerman to our Client Accounting & Advisory Services department as a Senior Accountant. Dawn’s experience as a Controller enables her to better understand the needs of Cover & Rossiter clients. Let’s get to know Dawn:
Prior experience: I worked 19 years as Controller at Courtyard by Marriott in Newark (Univ of DE campus)
Education: Associates degree in Hospitality Management from Delaware Technical Community College.
Life outside of work: I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys. I also love being outside, walking and reading, but not at the same time!

It’s never easy going to school and working a full-time job. Two of our team members did just that. Time to congratulate our recent graduates:
We congratulate Jazlee Rojas on receiving her MBA in Financial Management from Goldey-Beacom College! Jazlee just completed her first tax season at Cover & Rossiter. Next up, after a much-deserved break, is to prepare for the CPA exam.
We congratulate Paris Hickman on earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Goldey-Beacom College! Paris works in the audit department and has been a great addition to the team!
Finally, we celebrated the achievements of employees doing things they love outside of work – and for a good cause too:
As a sponsor of The Independence School, Cover & Rossiter participated in their “15th Annual Indy 5K & Color Us Kids Run” on May 21, 2024. We had four runners participate and are proud to announce that Jazlee Rojas and Colleen Grasso Hazewski placed second in their respective age divisions. Congratulations to them, as well as to our other participants, Charles Hunt and Paris Hickman!
