We are pleased to welcome Kate Hikins, Ali Ikram and Daniel Eissmann to Cover & Rossiter.
Kate Hikins joined Cover & Rossiter in July as a Senior Accountant in the Tax department. Previously, she worked as the Financial Reporting Supervisor at Boyer & Boyer, in the areas of financial reporting and taxation. Her clients included small to medium sized corporations, partnerships and not for profit organizations. Kate graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wilmington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Having recently passed the CPA exam, she is in the process of obtaining her license in Maryland and permit to practice in Delaware. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, baking and playing with her dog.
Ali Ikram joined the Audit department in June as a Staff Accountant. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Goldey-Beacom College in just 2.5 years! While a student at Goldey-Beacom, Ali served as President of the Accounting & Finance Club. He held internships at Zimny, Ratledge & Shaner LLC in their Tax department, Advance Publications in their Finance/Accounting/Treasury departments, and UMB Fund Services in their Fund Accounting department. In addition to studying for the CPA exam, he is actively pursuing his MBA, which he will complete in 6 months. In his free time, Ali loves to play chess! He actively participates in national tournaments, having won the Delaware State Chess Championship in 2016 and 2017. He recently landed in the Top 10 at the Atlantic Open Chess Tournament (out of 500 participants!).
Daniel Eissmann is a recent graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Financial Planning. He also minored in Management Information Systems. He worked as in intern at Cover & Rossiter during his junior and senior years. He is a musician, having played tenor saxophone in the University of Delaware’s Marching Band and Pep Band. Daniel will be working as a Staff Accountant in the Audit department. In addition to getting settled in the job, he’s studying for the CPA exam.
